Heat and Control, a world-leading equipment manufacturer, announced the opening of their newest factory located in Union, MO, 50 miles southwest of St. Louis. The new facility fabricates Spray Dynamics equipment and offers the latest in manufacturing capability, in modern office and engineering space, in product testing rooms, and it offers space for future site development.

Spray Dynamics St. Louis TeamA key feature of the new facility is a demonstration/trial center that provides comprehensive testing capability across a wide range of Heat and Control products. This site offers the ability to test an integrated line of processing, conveying, coating and packaging equipment. R&D teams can perform a test from start to finish or for an individual process as required with the direct assistance of Heat and Control expertise. The 50x75 sq. ft room features an analysis and instrumentation space for product attribute testing during trials, a walk-in refrigerator and freezer, and a temperature control system that can mock plant conditions.

Approximately 55 employees currently work at the location and the company can expand to more than 100 employees. The 108,000 sq. ft manufacturing and office building is located on a 13.32-acre green field site in a city that showed the highest growth rate in the county over the last decade.

"Recognizing opportunities to bring innovation to food processing gave Heat and Control its start, and nearly 70 years later, it is still at our core. We found the same spirit within the Spray Dynamics team and are excited to work together to integrate the latest technology into the next generation of food processing equipment," declares Tony Caridis, Heat and Control President.

"Spray Dynamics was already a leading innovator of equipment for the controlled application of liquid and dry ingredients when we first began our partnership…Together with the FastBack on-machine seasoning technology, we offer a complete line of equipment and technical services covering every aspect of seasoning and coating," affirms Caridis.

"Beyond our equipment, what sets us apart is that each person on our team remembers that our products and our services mean success for our customers. Each piece of equipment we provide, each parts order we fill, each service visit we make, each email we send is done as if it is the most important thing we do," asserts George Lotti, Heat and Control Chief Financial Officer. "Our equipment's performance may get us a new customer, but it's our communication and support after the sale that has given us our many long-term customers."

Manufacturing EquipmentSpray Dynamics General Manager Lucas Bell maintains his engineer's attention to detail and focuses on optimizing efficiency for the manufacturing operations. "We firmly believe that each employee on the Spray Dynamics team brings something valuable to the table," explains Bell. "This new state of the art facility displays Heat and Control's commitment to truly partner with both our existing and our new customers by providing the latest in technology to design, manufacture, test, and ship the highest quality turnkey equipment in the industry. This ability, paired with great customer service, will continue to keep us as a leading provider of solutions and support."
