Job Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate CNC laser machines to cut, etch, or pierce metals.
  • Interpret blueprints, production orders, and specs to meet dimensions and tolerances.
  • Plan and layout cutting sequence, referring to drawings and blueprints.
  • Requires aligning, fitting and/or rework pieces that fail inspection.
  • Select and install correct lenses, adjust machine to accommodate materials.
  • Inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, or other tools to ensure accuracy.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Experience operating a Laser or similar metal-cutting machine.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
  • Measuring tools experience, including calipers and micrometers.
  • Work in a standing position for up to 6 hours.
  • Lift up to 40 pounds with or without assistance, bend, twist and reach.
  • Ability to grip, twist wrist and tighten hands.
