Position Summary

Responsible for the accurate, compliant, and timely processing of the organization's end-to-end payroll cycle. This role will handle complex payroll issues, and assist with high-level reporting and auditing.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end payroll processing, including collecting, calculating, and inputting payroll data.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies while processing payroll
  • Administer and maintain payroll systems, ensure data integrity, and implement system upgrades and enhancements
  • Prepare journal entries for accounting and reconcile reports and balances
  • Collaborate with HR, finance, and other departments to validate payroll information for new hires, terminations, promotions, and salary changes
  • Resolve payroll discrepancies, investigating and resolving issues promptly and accurately
  • Generate payroll reports, including tax filings, benefits deductions, and other reports
  • Work with third party vendors assuring information is updated and transmitted timely and accurately
  • Address employee inquiries and concerns related to payroll, providing customer service and support
  • Maintain confidentiality and data security standards for all payroll-related information
  • Stay updated on payroll regulations, implementing necessary changes to ensure compliance and best practices
  • Prepare various reports for internal and external stakeholders
  • Assist with internal and external audits

Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or human resources.
  • 7+ years of hands-on full cycle payroll experience
  • Experience working with large-scale payroll software and HRIS systems like ADP, Workday, SAP, or UKG (Preferred)
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office 365, with strong knowledge of Excel
  • Understanding of multiple states payroll processing and labor laws (preferred)
  • UKG Kronos experience preferred
  • Basic accounting skills a plus
  • Bilingual (English / Spanish) a plus
