Position Summary

An opportunity exists for a Trade Qualified Fitter Turner Machinist and/or a First-Class Machinist to perform all fitting and machining related activities to the required quality and within the allocated timeframe.

Recommend changes to engineering specifications/drawings to continuously improve quality, delivery and cost specifications.

Job Responsibilities Include

  • To read and interpret technical drawings correctly,
  • Machine, assemble and or fabricate components using trade skills from the specifications in technical drawings

Required Education and Experience

  • Strong manual skills on mills and lathes
  • Previous experience with stainless steel food processing equipment and systems.
  • An understanding of equipment technical specifications and application to processing systems.
  • Well-developed planning and organization skills.
  • Must be able to establish and maintain excellent customer relationships.
  • Must possess a strong work ethic.


Physical Requirements

  • Must be physically fit to perform the inherent requirements of the role, including to be able to sit, stand, squat for prolonged periods.
  • Must be able to climb ladders, scaffolds onto and around manufacturing machinery and manufactured goods.


Work Environment

  • Working in a clean factory environment.
  • PPE including hearing protection is required due to noise levels in factory environments.
  • Onsite parking
  • Site work available after a qualifying period.
  • Overtime available
