Job Responsibilities

  • Reviews project electrical schematics to ensure Motor and Device (MAD) List have correct panel and junction box locations.
  • Confirms component wiring matches electrical schematics and relays discrepancies to the process group
  • Recommend options for improvement to control design (both hardware and software)
  • Evaluating designs for reliability, manufacturability, and cost efficiency
  • Provide guidance to mechanical engineers on conduit, wiring and termination.
  • Assist shop electricians with terminal layouts and pull charts
  • Supplies technical support to the Field Service techs.
  • Assist in the planning of conduit runs and requisitioning of electrical materials.
  • Assist in the setup and printing of terminal labels using a Brady printer.

Preferred Experience

  • 5-7 years of experience in industrial controls
  • Read and understand electrical prints
  • Understand Three Phase, 120 VAC and small DC voltages
  • Experience with instrument specification
  • Experience working with safety circuitry and an understanding of current standards
  • Proficient if Microsoft Office – especially Excel
  • Experience working in SAP is preferred
