Manufacturing Technician Job Responsibilities

  • Review of engineering drawings for manufacturability
  • Create, release, and revise flat pattern drawings to support production.
  • Programming CNC manufacturing equipment including but not limited to the following:
    • Fiber laser
    • Waterjet
    • Lathe
    • Mill
  • Create and update documentation of procedures and references for current manufacturing practices.
  • Support production by 3D modeling fixtures as needed.
  • Communication between production and design engineering.

Manufacturing Technician Required Education and Experience

  • Knowledge of manufacturing equipment and CAD/CAM software
    • Manufacturing Machinery examples: Lasers, Water Jets, Plasma, Milling Machines, Lathes, Drill Presses, Press Brakes
    • CAD/CAM Software examples: Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD, Sigma Nest, Tru-Tops Inch, Boost, SPI Sheet Metal, Mastercam
  • Ability to visualize space geometry as well as 3D to Flat conversions.
  • “Hands On” experience working with sheet metal and machinery such as welding machines, milling and lathe machines, laser, water jet, punch, measuring tools, robotics, etc.
