Duties and Responsibilities

  • Prepare paperwork for over the road travel, air freight and/or ocean travel including packing lists, bill of ladings, and export documents such as commercial invoices, export declarations and certificate of origins, and encompassing any special marking, tagging, labeling..
  • Negotiate rates for equipment transportation that may exceed parcel carrier size/weight regulations.
  • Coordinate outbound activities vendor shipments.
  • Coordinate labor and material resources for crating and skid production.
  • Off-loading and unpacking, inspecting for damage, staging and delivery.
  • Coordinate and request additional labor resources of the Production Manager and/or Department Manager as assistance is needed during times of high shipping labor activity demands.

Qualifications

  • Prior supervisory experience coordinating employees’ daily activities.
  • At least four years of logistics and transportation experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain or logistics can be substituted for 2 years of experience.
  • Experience with SAP or other MRP (Material Requirements Planning) software systems.
  • Microsoft Office, particularly OneDrive, Outlook, Teams, and Excel.
