The Heat and Control Technical Writer develops Functional Design Specifications (FDS) for Processing, Product Handling, and Spray Dynamics internal employees and customers.

 

Technical Writer Job Responsibilities

  • Work with SMEs (Controls, R&D, Project Engineering) to develop and maintain FDS.
  • Update documents for latest information (New Horizon, equipment updates, and features).
  • Send documents to SME and update
  • Collaborate with H&C documentation departments to improve product documentation.

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Journalism, Technical Writing, or 2+ years technical writing work experience
  • Interpret technical data, processes, operating, and maintenance instructions
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Visio)
  • Experience using software for technical writing and document authorizing (Madcap Flare), Snagit
  • Knowledgeable in developing, planning, implementing, and assessing documentation needs
