Job Responsibilities Include

  • Proper handling of materials
  • Inspection of materials for defects, damage or shortage
  • Counting and documenting receipts and material goods via paperwork and data entry in SAP
  • Document defects, damage or shortage via paperwork and tagging
  • Efficient, neat and safe storage of material
  • Staging materials for production orders or sales orders
  • Coordinate materials needs with manufacturing through the plant manager, or production supervisors
  • Coordinate replenishing materials shortages with purchasing department
  • Coordinate cycle counting with the Shipping Receiving Coordinator
  • Safely Operate hand carts, pallet trucks, and fork lifts

Required Education and Experience

  • Must have one year of prior work experience
  • High school diploma required, with an emphasis on math classes
  • Familiar with computer entry including Microsoft Outlook. Excel a plus.
  • Ability to type at least 40 WPM
  • Must be able to understand packing slips, receiving slips, and paperwork included with shipments and pick lists
  • Count and sort items. Able to add, subtract, multiply and divide efficiently
  • Understand the principals of inventory control


Physical Requirements

  • Physically able to handle exertion involving bending, stooping, lifting, climbing, or carrying heavy items (50-75lbs) with or without assistance.
  • Able to reach horizontally and vertically for stored items
  • Manual dexterity for use of telephone, and computer keyboard
