Position Summary


Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the Electrical Project Engineer is responsible for managing the overall UL 508A program. This includes coordination with the Dallas team concerning fastback electrical requirements, as it relates to UL. This position supports the electrical control activities within manufacturing.
 

Job Responsibilities

  • Electrical project management work directly with project PM and customers.
  • Work with UL 508A, IEC, ISO, and CE.
  • Manage the UL 508A program for the Galesburg facility
  • Manufacturers Technical Representative for UL in the Galesburg facility
  • Design and create electrical schematics for UL and CE listed industrial control panels using Bentley Promise design software based on mechanical design spec.
  • Assist and oversee the manufacturing of control panels.
  • Testing PLC and OIT programs on machine in-house and onsite.
  • Troubleshooting of machinery operations and control circuits.
  • Service control support. Work with Field Service Techs to resolve control issues.
  • Use SAP to reference control components.
  • Create new SAP electrical parts numbers and descriptions.
  • Support Galesburg Engineering

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering preferred, or AS degree in Industrial Controls
  • UL 508A, CE requirements for panel design
  • Good knowledge of 24VDC control/safety circuits thru 575VAC 3PH power circuits
  • At least two or more years of experience as an Electrical Controls Engineer
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products
  • Experienced in 3D modeling and AutoCAD
  • RS Logix 5000 and Wonderware, preferred but not required
  • Experience working in SAP is preferred
