Position Summary

A great career opportunity exists for a Service Engineer to get involved in the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of a wide range of food processing equipment.

As Service Engineer you will report to the Service Manager.  Working as part of a high performing team, you will be responsible for the servicing of a wide range of food processing equipment. Our NZ office is based in Auckland with a team of 5 service engineers, and there is a requirement to complete site work, most sites are in a 3-hour drive radius.  

Job Responsibilities Include

  • Installation, commissioning, and maintenance of wide range of food processing equipment.
  • Diagnosing and repairing food processing, inspection equipment and automated packaging equipment
  • Maintaining strict deadlines for project installations and handovers.
  • Providing customer training and support.
  • Supervising a team during installation.
  • Undertake national travel as required.

Required Education and Experience

  • Mechanical Trade qualifications.
  • Restricted Electrical License.
  • Strong fabrication skills (S/S TIG will be highly regarded).
  • At least 5 years field support experience (preferably with food process equipment).
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical engineering drawings (AutoCAD experience advantageous)
  • Prior machinery installation experience will be well regarded.

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a willing mind to learn new technologies and develop new skills.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.


Work Environment

This role needs to coordinate with internal teams to efficiently deliver service solutions (installation, commissioning, and maintenance) of our leading solutions.
