Heat exchanger incinerates fryer exhaust pollutants
Combining pollution control with efficient cooking oil heating, Heat and Control’s patented KleenHeat® pollution control heat exchanger surpasses simple afterburner technology.
Fryer exhaust is delivered into KleenHeat’s combustion chamber where the odors, oil and other pollutants are thoroughly incinerated. Combustion heat then passes through special “graduated density” stainless steel tube bundles which evenly transfer heat to cooking oil circulating inside. The all-welded tube bundles are self-cleaning and provide low oil film temperatures without hot spots.
Without using additional fuel, KleenHeat’s efficiency rating actually exceeds that of most heat exchangers which do not offer pollution control. Regulatory agencies worldwide recognize KleenHeat’s pollution control method as the “Best Available Control Technology” and often require this equipment for new and upgraded fryer lines.
